Hi There! I’m Sean, and I’m the newest member of the Support team here at SeisWare.
I was born and raised in Calgary, but when I was deciding on attending university I thought I would take the jump and try something new. I chose to attend the University of British Columbia in Vancouver BC. During my first year, during a couple of introductory Earth Science courses, I discovered that I was really interested in Earth history and plate tectonics, and decided to major in Geology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in May of 2020. Prior to starting at SeisWare, I was working in the Lower Mainland of BC as a technician at a subsurface surveying company, using mainly Ground Penetrating Radar. I’m very happy to be returning home to Calgary to start this next chapter.
I have only been with the company for a few weeks, but I can already tell this is a great group of people. Everyone has been extremely helpful and easy to talk to. I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone at the company more as time goes on. I’m also shocked at how much can be done and created with SeisWare. It is an extremely valuable tool, and I can’t wait to learn more about what it has to offer.
In my spare time, I love snowboarding. My favourite hill is Whitefish Mountain in Montana, but I also love hitting Whistler, Lake Louise, and Sunshine. I also enjoy listening to classic rock, golfing poorly, and watching sci-fi horror movies, like Alien and The Thing.
