Hello, I’m Rob.
I graduated from the University of Calgary with a BSc in Geophysics in 2003. I spent the first seven years of my career working in the field, primarily in non-seismic geophysical acquisition with a heavy focus on gravity data. I found field work to be a great mix of challenging, rewarding, exciting and a lot of fun. I had the opportunity to travel all over North America, from the far north in Alaska and the NWT to the sunny coast of California. I was also able to travel internationally to Egypt and Gabon in Africa, and to the Zagros mountains in northern Iraq.
I joined the SeisWare support team in 2010 and eventually moved on the Quality Assessment department. I have since take on more of a leadership role and currently manage the Support, QA and Product teams. What I love most about my current role is working with engaged people who are passionate about creating and providing top notch technical support for a quality product. SeisWare has a great culture that has a real employee centric feel to it allowing for an amazing work life balance, a solid focus on personal development, and an excellent team environment.
Having been raised in the flatlands of Saskatchewan I have an unhealthy obsession with the mountains and spend much of my free time there hiking, snowboarding, camping, and snowmobiling. I’ve recently taken up woodworking as a hobby and spend countless hours creating large piles of sawdust in my garage.
