Hi, I’m Moriah and I work in the support department at SeisWare. If you’ve called our support line, we have probably chatted before.
I graduated from the University of Calgary with a BSc (Hons) Geophysics and BSc Geology in 2017. After graduating I had a short contract working in geophysical interpretation where I used SeisWare Geophysics as my main interpretation tool. In 2018, I was hired at SeisWare as a Geoscience Support Specialist and have been here ever since.
My passion for geoscience began when I was about four years old because I started collecting rocks from the Elbow River near my house. When I was around 10 years old, I discovered that there were sciences called Geology and Geophysics and that I could study and have a career that involved rocks. I knew immediately that this was what I wanted to do.
When I’m not collecting rocks, I enjoy outdoor activities such cycling, hiking, and backpacking. I also enjoy reading, especially fantasy and sci-fi. Over the lockdown we formed a book club here at SeisWare which has been great way to stay connected to co-workers who also enjoy reading in their free time.
