Hey, I’m Harry Bruce
I started at SeisWare last summer as a Junior Software Developer.
I was born and raised in Newfoundland, where I went to university and completed my bachelor’s degree in computer science. I was originally going to major in economics, but in my 2nd year I had to take an intro to computer science, course and I’ve known I wanted to be a software developer ever since. After graduating, I spent some time teaching Python and web development classes to kids, and it was a great opportunity to grow as both a developer and as a person.
After teaching for a little while, I eventually started my first full-time job here at SeisWare. I feel like I really lucked out getting my first full-time job here. Growth and personal development have always been a priority, and I’m supported by experienced developers that never hesitate to lend a hand when I get stuck on something.
In my free time I like to play a lot of video games, mostly shooters or MMOs. I’ve also started getting into fitness this past year, and I am working out regularly. Cooking has also become a hobby of mine since I moved out, and I’ve always been the type to really enjoy some good food.
