Marketing Co-op

Position Overview

Since 1997, SeisWare™ International Inc. has successfully grown to be an industry leader in the development, sales, and support of geoscience software within the energy industry. From a non-technical standpoint, we are passionate and focused on individual and team growth.

We are looking for a co-op student to join our team for an 8 or 12-month term starting in January 2025. The work will be part-time with a minimum of 30- hours per week and overall will meet the minimum 450-hour requirement for a Co-op placement.

As a Marketing Co-op you will work closely with our Marketing Specialist and actively participate in various marketing initiatives from tradeshows to social media campaigns. We seek enthusiastic, capable and motivated students who are eager to learn. Being a small company, we value self-starters who can work independently while knowing that support and mentorship are always available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and execution of tradeshows and other special events.
  • Conduct market research for new and emerging markets.
  • Contribute to content creation through video editing and graphic design for SeisWare’s blog and social media platforms.
  • Assist with product marketing planning
  • Assist with day-to-day marketing & communications activities.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Learn, grow and have fun.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a marketing or related program at an accredited college or university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Experience with social media content creation
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Curious, creative and a self-starter! You are not afraid to dive in to learn and try new things

Other Info

This position is Calgary-based with some flexible in-person/remote arrangements.

 

If working remotely, there are some basic IT requirements that individuals must have:

  • Windows 10 system with current updates
  • Webcam, microphone and dual monitors
  • Up-to-date antivirus suite (Symantec, Norton, McAfee, Defender)
  • Broadband internet
